La Salle and Hendricken Boys' Hockey teams engage in the 1st annual Edward L. Walsh, Jr. Memorial Hockey Game
On Friday evening, 19 February, the La Salle Acdemy Boys' hockey team prevailed over its rival Bishop Hendricken in a tightly-contested game with La Salle scoring the winning goal late in the third period for a 4-3 victory.
Following the game was a ceremony to mark the first awarding of the Edward L. Walsh, Jr. Memorial Trophy. Brother Frederick Mueller, FSC (Moderator of the LSA Boys' Hockey team) emceed the short ceremony (see comments). The trophy was presented to the captains of the winning La Salle team by Ed Walsh's three sons: Cam (LSA Class of 2013; member of hockey and golf teams), Tyler (LSA Class of 2015; member of hockey and baseball teams), and Eddie (student at Immaculate Conception School).
