Welcome to the website of La Salle Academy!
La Salle Academy has a spirited, culturally diverse student body of more than 1,400 young women and men that enjoys and thrives in its Elmhurst section of Providence location. The challenging college preparatory curriculum is balanced by a co-curricular program of parallel strength with an emphasis on leadership, appreciation of the arts and a wide variety of competitive sports.
La Salle Academy is in the forefront of technological change. Our faculty continues to move forward in embracing new techniques in order to meet the demands of educational modern technology and providing our students with the best opportunity to achieve excellence. Our Five Year Strategic Plan gives us the framework necessary to incorporate new ideas into today's curriculum and allows us to retain the necessary flexibility for revisions and modifications to meet our future needs.
Founded in 1871, La Salle continues to educate in the tradition of our Founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle. Lasallian schools have rediscovered the wisdom and effectiveness of St. La Salle’s approaches to education, and teachers have been reinvigorated by his sense of purpose, his goodness and his spirituality. I believe you will not find a high school that elicits such a level of passion for its mission.
The true successes of La Salle Academy have been the graduates who have contributed to their communities and have remained faithful to the Gospel values of faith, hope, and love: values nurtured, perhaps even acquired, at La Salle Academy. And the greatest successes of all occur when La Salle reaches the children of the “working classes and the poor,” remaining faithful to the vision of our Founder.
Live Jesus in our hearts. Forever!
