Students Set School Record in National Spanish Test

La Salle Academy students set a school record for the most students ever to rank in the three highest categories in the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP) National Spanish Exam with 116 students taking gold, silver or bronze in the test which is divided into six levels.

 

In addition to winning 21 gold, 42 silver and 53 bronze awards, La Salle senior Michael Danielewicz had the highest score among all Rhode Island students from all of the categories within Levels 4, 5, and 6 and will be awarded a $500 cash prize.

 

Additional La Salle students placing high in overall scores were:  Level 2 Regular – McKenzie Meehan, First Place; Level 2 Outside Experience – Jair Perez, First Place, Christian Garcia, Second Place   Level 3 Outside Experience -- Sarah Clinckemaillie, First Place, Elsiris Rosado, Third Place.
